Do you often feel that other people's speeches always shine during group discussions, while your own words seem bland and unattractive?
Hi friend! Giving you a shout out from across the screen, I hope you feel the support and energy!
Do you also feel that you are not confident enough to speak in front of a crowd and always feel that the content is dark?
-- it shows that you value self-growth and desire to better express yourself. Kudos to you for this realization, and with the right approach, you're sure to be the bright spot in the crowd!
❤ Looking forward to our progress together, cheers!
In fact, it takes a little bit of accumulation and practice to stand out from the crowd.
I'm sharing a couple of tips that I've personally tested to be effective for you to try out -
First of all, before the speech must be well prepared, it is best to write a good outline around the theme in advance or play a good belly, remember the key phrases, put the expression of the highlights in the key moments, and say it with full emotion! For example, the opening can be used in these ways to break the ice:
I often use the "story starter": I prepare a few short stories or unique experiences, and share an interesting story before making a point;
Or start with a "summary of key points" that briefly summarizes what to say, for example, "I've sorted out three main points I'd like to share: Thanks ...... Looking back at ...... Looking forward to ......" (a);
You can also directly point out the structure, such as "On this topic, I will talk about it from four perspectives";
Usually look at more books or videos on speech and communication, accumulate some in-depth sentences, memorize them, and often read them aloud to practice, so as to make the expression more imposing and infectious.
Recommended reading is Awakening the Giant in You and The Courage to Be Hated; you can also practice speaking in front of a mirror during the day or imitate the style of a speaker you admire.
I hope you will try bravely in practice and slowly find your own expressive characteristics. As long as you persist in summarizing and practicing, you will definitely get closer and closer to your ideal!
