From low self-esteem to hope: how to defuse feelings of despair about the future

I've been an introvert since I was a kid, and I don't have many friends. When I was young, I made two good girl friends, but then because of my poor academic performance, I was afraid of dragging them down, so they stopped playing with me, which was a big blow to me. In terms of study and height, I was often ridiculed, and slowly developed an inferiority complex. In school, I did not stand out, I did not like to talk, and I always felt inferior to others. When I grew up, I thought more about things, and my family environment also shaped my character - my parents often quarreled, and my relatives' families were all quite rich, but our family was in average condition, so the gap always made me feel that I was not worthy of them.

Some of my relatives are particularly snobbish and look down on people like me who come from ordinary families.

Now I am starting to worry about my future job, I am confused about my future development, and I always think that I am ugly and worry that I won't be able to find a date in the future.

When I think of other people's parents have everything ready, and I have nothing, my heart is particularly difficult, I do not know what to do. I've been suffering from severe insomnia for the past month, and every time I think of these things I can't help but cry, I really feel desperate for my future life, but then I think of my mom and dad and I can't bear to let them go.

You're actually a much better person than you think you are, it's just easy to think too pessimistically about everything. There are a lot of ordinary people in the world, everyone has their own mission and path. Come on, be confident, do more of what you like, try your best to do the part you can do, and slowly you will realize that life is not that hard.
