I have never been an accessory to anyone, I have always been my unique self, and I know this better than anyone.
Good afternoon, everyone!
Sometimes I look back and really am quite grateful to have met so many different people.
After all the ups and downs.
And have seen some mind-blowing scenery.
But to be honest, I've had phases of confusion in my life that I've never seen before.
My parents always wanted me to be an obedient and understanding child.
My boss asked me to become omnipotent and strong.
Students expect me to be a teacher who is good at everything.
My friends, on the other hand, think I should be a thoughtful and delicate girl.
And what about myself? I've asked myself more than once what kind of person I really want to be.
As I desperately work toward those expectations.
And yet someone jumps in and says, you're different from most people that way.
They'll think you're an anomaly.
I often live in other people's comments, glances, and even their stories.
I've tried trying to ignore the sounds.
Making myself look indestructible, but my parents were always pushing me to fulfill their unfulfilled dreams.
At 25, you start to fall in love.
At 26, you entered into marriage.
At 27, you have an adorable baby.
On the surface, everything looks perfect.
But no one tells you that you are repeatedly looked down upon by your in-laws when you make over 3,000 dollars a month.
The person you marry may just be the "right" person.
To this day, I'm still trying to live the way I want to live.
Mom always said to rely more on your husband.
But I was never an accessory to anyone.
Is it wrong that I've always been myself?
We only live once, and we certainly want to live for ourselves. I have a friend beside me who is especially great, she has always insisted on being herself, has clear ideas and boundaries, and won't be easily swayed by other people's opinions. In fact, everyone more or less wants to change other people to make them conform to their expectations. But the party being changed will definitely be uncomfortable, after all, no one likes to be forcibly transformed. So, rest assured to be yourself, one day, your uniqueness will attract people who really appreciate and support you.
In the same way, we should not always try to change others, because we will also be tired. If someone keeps saying "you should do this" or "you should do that", you can express your position openly, and if the other person still doesn't change, then allow them to say it, and allow yourself to go your own way.
Everyone's life trajectory is different, each has its own rhythm, we do not have to copy other people's lives. Follow your heart and live the way you want. Don't care too much about what others want, remember the saying: if you are wonderful, the sky arranges itself. ☘
